“Many do not know that the Canterbury Shakers were among the first in New Hampshire to own an automobile,” noted Funi Burdick, Executive Director. “As innovators and entrepreneurs, the Shakers were quick to see the value in new technologies and were often on the leading edge of change. The Vintage Car Show brings this aspect of the Shaker legacy to life.”
Canterbury Shaker Village is open daily for tours through Oct. 24. Other upcoming events at the Village include “Ghost Encounters” on Oct. 24 and Christmas at Canterbury on Dec. 5 and 12.
