‘Violent’ Aggravated ID Fraudster Sought by U.S. Marshals

Investigators are hunting for NH fugitive Mark Pate. He previously lived in Boston and Worcester, and has known associates in Shrewsbury.

CONCORD, NH — This week’s District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force Fugitive of the Week is a convicted identity thief with allegedly violent tendencies who could be anywhere in New Hampshire or Massachusetts, according to U.S. Marshals. Mark Pate, 50, is wanted by the U.S. District Court in Concord for a supervised release violation after being convicted of aggravated identity theft.

Pate is 6 feet tall, weighs around 250 lbs., and has brown eyes and black hair. He has a scar on his abdomen – about 6 inches long – and one on his hip. Pate has also been known to use aliases including “Mark Campbell,” “Stanley Washington,” and “Joseph O’Brien,” according to the task force.

“Pate is wanted for violations of supervised release, stemming from an original conviction and sentence for aggravated identity theft,” noted Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White in an alert. “Pate was last known to be living in Manchester, and he has additional ties to associates throughout the Dorchester, Boston, and Shrewsbury, MA, areas.”

Pate is alleged to have “violent tendencies” so if you see him or anyone who looks like him, call local police or the U.S. Marshals Service at 603-225-1632. Do not attempt to apprehend him yourself.

According to Seacoastonline.com, Pate was arrested in Portsmouth in April 2011 for identity fraud, forgery, and being a fugitive from justice. In 2009, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, he was charged with larceny over $250. The paper noted that in 2007, Pate was charged with charged with driving with a suspended license-subsequent, amended from driving with a suspended license, and vehicle lights violation. He was living in Worcester at the time.
