Breaking: Concord firefighters quickly knocked down a fire in the West End Sunday.
CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to Dwinnell Drive in Concord Sunday for a furnace fire. Teams arrived just before 11:15 a.m. with smoke showing from the basement windows of the two-story, single-family home. The fire was quickly extinguished and firefighters checked the first and second floors for any fire extension.
"Fire crews immediately commenced an aggressive interior attack," said Chief Dan Andrus of the Concord Fire Department. "Crews remained on scene to assure that the fire was completely extinguished."
Three occupants were not injured, Andrus said.
