Watch: Vermin Supreme Hosts Pony Protest At Concord Book Event

After some legal haggling, the presidential candidate gets to peaceably assemble while demanding Hillary Clinton surrender.

CONCORD, NH — “Come out with your hands up and your pantsuit down.” Those were the demands of former presidential candidate Vermin Supreme in Concord on Dec. 5, 2017, after he protested outside of Gibson’s Bookstore on South Main Street where another former presidential candidate – Hillary Clinton – was signing copies of her new book, “What Happened.” Supreme’s protest though almost didn’t happen.

When the city of Concord wouldn’t allow him to have a permit to protest out the event, he sued, saying it was a violation of his First Amendment rights. According to the lawsuit, Gene Blake, a longtime code enforcement officer for the city, reportedly told him that he could host the event on another day but not the day Clinton was signing books. The permit was later granted.

Supreme held his protest across the street from the heavily armed and guarded bookstore while patrons stood in line to get their books signed.

Previously, according to campaign literature, Supreme has campaigned on ensuring proper dental care for all Americans – as well as a pony in every yard. In the 2016 first-in-the-nation presidential primary, he received eight votes in Concord. In the general election in 2012, he received a single write-in vote ... for state Senate in Concord.
