Weare Teen Arrested on Drug Charge After Crash
Dunbarton Police: The operator veered into the opposite lane; police allegedly discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

DUNBARTON, NH - A 17-year-old from Weare was arrested on possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and possession of tobacco products by a minor on Jan. 14, 2016, after a crash on Winslow Road, according to police.
Officers and Dunbarton Fire and Rescue teams were sent to the road at around 4:30 p.m. for a rollover.
The on-scene investigation revealed that the operator lost control as he was rounding a corner, causing him to veer into the opposite lane and ultimately flip his vehicle, a 2006 Jeep Wrangler, according to police. The Jeep came to rest against a tree, only several feet from a frozen pond. The operator sustained a minor hand injury and was treated on scene by Dunbarton EMS.

Poor road conditions are a contributing factor to the collision. Speed does not appear to be a factor. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
While on scene, Dunbarton Police discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The operator was subsequently charged with possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and possession of tobacco products by a minor. He is scheduled to be arraigned in the 6th Circuit - Concord District Court on March 7, 2016.

The collision remains under investigation by Dunbarton Police.
