Weare Teen Arrested in Connection With S&W Burglary

Police are also looking for a Concord teen who may have fled the area.

A Weare teenager was arrested today and charged with multiple counts of arson, burglary, and other incidents related to a case at the on South Main Street.

Jesse Vajgrt, 19, of Weare, was arrested on Jan. 13, and charged with Possession of Infernal Machine, three counts of Criminal Liability for Conduct of Another (Arson), two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Burglary, Criminal Liability for Conduct of Another (Theft), and Theft by Unauthorized Taking.

According to a press release, Vajgrt turned himself and was released on $20,000 personal recognizance bail. He is due back in court on Feb. 13.

Police are also looking for , an 18-year-old Concord teenager who allegedly was involved in the criminal activity with Vajgrt. He is believed to have fled the area and may have shaved his head to alter his appearance.

“The public is asked to notify their local police department if they have contact with or know the whereabouts of Bouchard,” Deputy Chief Keith Mitchell wrote. “The public is cautioned not to attempt to apprehend Bouchard.”

Police investigators allege that Vajgrt drove Bouchard drove to several locations in the city on Jan. 2 and Jan 3. Police believe that Bouchard set fires at the , a dumpster behind the on Loudon Road, and a dumpster on Storrs Street. After the fires were set, police allege that Vajgrt drove Bouchard to on South Main Street where Bouchard broke a window, entered the store, and stole a Gary Fisher mountain bike valued at more than $3,500. Bouchard placed the bike in Vajgrt’s truck and the two left the scene.

Police also allege that on Jan. 5, the two committed two additional burglaries, one theft, and one other arson. Bouchard is alleged to have pried open a window at on Triangle Drive and that Vajgrt entered the building, allegedly intending to steal bikes or cash. However, he set off the alarm before removing any items from the store.

Vajgrt then reportedly drove Bouchard back to S&W where Bouchard pried a door open, entered the building, with the intent of stealing bikes or cash, according to a police report. The two later fled the scene without taking anything.

Not long after, according to police, Vajgrt removed two license plates and a tailgate from a truck parked in the South End and later, returned to Pet Smart to set another fire in a dumpster.

Police allege that Bouchard had possession of a Trek mountain bike, valued at more than $3,000, which was reportedly stolen from S&W sometime before Jan. 2. The bikes and tailgate were reportedly recovered by police.

“Concord Police received multiple tips through the Concord Regional Crimeline which assisted in this case,” noted Mitchell in the press release.
