Wednesday is a Time to Relax and Learn in Concord

It's hump day and here are 5 Things you need to know for April 3, 2013.

  1. Super sunny. The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies and highs in the 40s with blustery breezes here and there. Overnight lows will drop down into the teens, with wind remaining.
  2. 40 more to go. We’re just 40 “likes” shy of 1,600 on Facebook. If you like what we’re doing, please like us on Facebook. And tell all your friends too!
  3. Tai Chi. The Kimball Jenkins Estate will host a free Tai Chi open house at 5 p.m. with instructor Mark Roth. Relax, reflex, tone up, and focus.
  4. Civil War and Concord. The latest Walker Lecture Series at 7:30 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium features authors Mike Pride and Mark Travis talking about Concord and Penacook during the Civil War. The event is free and open to the public.
  5. Other stuff. St. Paul’s Church hosts a rhythm and dance session at 10:30 a.m. Dustins Fitness Solutions hosts a complimentary circuit training class at noon. At 5 p.m., the Let’s Dance Studio hosts a Zumba fitness class. The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The docket includes requests by the Tedeschi Food Stores on Village Street and Binnie Media for the old Walker Elementary School building on Church Street. The Barley House hosts trivia at 8 p.m.

There are more events listed in our Events section. Would you like your event or information included in the 5 Things, Get Out!, or The Week Ahead previews? Post it in the Announcements and Events sections of Concord NH Patch and we’ll try and give it an extra plug!
