What Would Be Good on South Main?

The latest Visions for Vacancies post looks at 251-253 S. Main St. near the intersection with South State and Allison streets.

The storefront, the former location for Blevens Insurance, has been vacant for quite a bit of time. There was a minor kitchen fire in one of the apartments above the storefront back in October 2012.

The area has had redevelopment in recent years. The former Blue Cross Blue Shield complex has been renovated and now houses a number of businesses including NHPR and Plymouth State University. The old S&W shop is now an Amish furniture store and Rhapsody Salon just opened across the street. There is even a specialized pet store on the street too.
