Who Are You, New Hampshire Powerball Winner?
Even the "Today Show" wants to speak to the person who hit the $487 million Powerball last month after buying a ticket in Raymond.

CONCORD, NH — If you are the holder of the winning $487 million Powerball from July 30, not only do New Hampshire Lottery officials want to know who you are, so does NBC’s “Today Show.” Producers of the show have reached out to state officials and offered an “open invitation” to appear on the program with host Matt Lauer, according to a press statement. As of yesterday, Aug. 8, 2016, that winner has not been identified.
“There is so much anticipation as the whole world waits to meet the $487 million Powerball winner,” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery Commission. “This is such an exciting time for the New Hampshire Lottery and our players. While we cannot wait to meet the lucky winner, we certainly understand winning a sum of $487 million is a life-altering event and we respect that the winner needs to do his or her due diligence before claiming this incredible prize. The New Hampshire Lottery looks forward to working with our winner to make this $487 million prize a reality.”
The winning ticket was sold at the Hannaford Supermarket on Freetown Road in Raymond. The ticket is the 10th winning Powerball ticket sold in New Hampshire and the first since 2007, according to McIntyre.

Options for the winner
The ticket holder has two options – a lump-sum cash option of approximately $341.7 million or the option of an annuity payment across 30 years. In the one-time cash option, 25 percent of winnings would be withheld for federal taxes, netting the winner about $256.3 million. The annuity payment offers a graduated plan that increases annually. An estimated $7.3 million payment would be made the first year and the 29th payment would be an estimated $30.2 million, each before taxes.
