CONCORD, NH — Will it be a white Christmas in New Hampshire?

It is not looking like it. After a stormy Sunday and Monday, the weather is expected to be sunny and chilly, but clear skies and no snow on the horizon through Saturday.

The rain that started Sunday continues into Monday, making it quite a blustery day with patchy fog and temperatures in the upper 50s. Wind is expected to be 20 to 25 mph, with wind gusts as high as 40 mph. In some locations, as much as 4 inches of rain could lead to flooding.

Due to the storm predictions, a hazardous weather outlook and a flood watch were issued for Monday by the National Weather Service.

“Minor to moderate flooding is possible along main stem rivers as well as streams,” the alert stated, “many of which are still running high from last week`s rainfall. Widespread low-land and poor drainage flooding is also possible.”

The rain tapers off on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, sunny skies return with temperatures in the upper 30s and lows in the mid-20s.

Similar weather is expected on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
