Will Tropical Storm Hermine Dampen Labor Day Weekend in NH?
Breaking: NWS: Storm is expected to hit the East Coast this weekend and then move north; exact time – and what it will bring – is unknown.

GRAY, ME — A tropical storm that is heading to the Gulf Coast of Florida that may turn into a hurricane before it hits land could be heading north, according to forecasters. But whether or not Tropical Storm Hermine will bring unfavorable conditions to the Labor Day weekend around New England is currently a mystery.
Forecasters on Wednesday were suggesting that as the storm rose to 65 mph winds, it could hit the region and needed to be watched, too. This morning, the Gray Maine National Weather Service forecasters were suggesting that the latest track shows it might stall off the Atlantic, “but uncertainty remains.”

The National Hurricane Center reported that the storm was located about 220 miles west of Tampa at 11 a.m. Thursday. The storm was packing maximum sustained winds of 65 mph and was moving on a north-northeast track at 14 mph. After it hits Florida, it is expected to move along the Southeast coast and then taper off New Jersey by Sunday morning.
