Windham Man Dies After Crashing Into Trees On Interstate 89 In Warner

Douglas Malone was driving a 2008 Infiniti on the northbound side of the highway when he drove onto the center median near Mile Marker 16.6.

CONCORD, NH — A man from Windham has died after a crash on Interstate 89 in Warner on Monday.

Just before 12:15 p.m., New Hampshire State Police were called to the area of Mile Marker 16.6 for a report of a crash on the northbound side of the highway. When they arrived, they found a 2008 Infiniti had driven to the left side of the highway, between Exits 6 and 7, Amber Lagace, the public information officer for state police, said.

“Currently,” she said, “all aspects of the collision remain under investigation.”

The driver, Douglas E. Malone, 60, of Windham, sustained fatal injuries during the crash. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Warner and Hopkinton police, Warner and Hopkinton firefighters, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted Troop D troopers.
