Wine Mag: Here’s Where to Drink Well in NH

BEDFORD, NH – Wine Spectator magazine, a publication for both wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs, will release its 2016 Restaurant Awards edition on July 19, 2016, and once again, a number of New Hampshire restaurants are featured this year.

For 2016, the Wine Spectator is giving the Bedford Village Inn and Restaurant on Olde Bedford Way in Bedford the highest rating in the state – two glasses. The rating noted that the Inn's wine strengths are California and France while offering American regional cuisine.

Other restaurants receiving one glass ratings in Patch communities include the Copper Door on Leavy Drive in Bedford, CR’s Restaurant on Exeter Road in Hampton, Demeter’s Steakhouse on Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, Granite Restaurant & Bar in Concord, and The Library Restaurant, A Steak House on State Street in Portsmouth.

Other New Hampshire establishments included in the list with a one glass rating are The Sugar Hill Inn on Route 117 in Sugar Hill, Salt Kitchen & Bar at the Wentworth by the Sea on Wentworth Road in New Castle, The Manor on Golden Pond in Holderness, Ledges at the White Mountain Hotel on West Side Road in North Conway, the Hanover Street Chophouse in Manchester, 1865 Wine Cellar at the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa on Mountain View Road in Whitefield, and the Bretton Arms Dining Room at the Omni Bretton Arms Inn on Mountain Washington Hotel Road in Bretton Woods.

According to a press statement, nearly 3,600 other restaurants from around the world are featured in the awards edition. The magazine also has a new – and free – Restaurant Awards app in an effort to provide patrons with “the best guides to restaurants that deliver exceptional wine experiences” regardless of where you are in the world.
