The “winter storm watch” was issued because “there is a potential for significant snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel.”

The temperatures will be slightly warmer than the single digits and teens the state has been experiencing this morning.

Updated: The snow is expected to start around 9 p.m. tonight in Milford, Amherst, and 10 p.m. Bedford, Concord and Londonderry, and then 11 p.m. in Exeter, Hampton, and Portsmouth.

The snow will continue into the early morning hours and midday on Monday in most of the state. It may turn to rain in the central and western parts of the state around noon and 1 to 2 p.m. on the Seacoast. By late afternoon, the rain and snow mix is expected to end.
