Woman Accused Of Crashing An Out-Of-State SUV In Concord, Fleeing The Scene With A Pit Bull: Video
The driver was charged with resisting after being accused of crashing a Toyota FJ Cruiser with Maine plates on South Main Street Wednesday.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating the crash of an SUV on South Main Street on Wednesday morning.
At a little past 11:30 a.m., police were sent to the intersection of South Main and McKinley streets after a report that an SUV crashed into the woods. Dispatch told officers the caller said the vehicle had a Maine registration and the driver left several doors open.
The first arriving officer confirmed the Maine plates on a Toyota FJ Cruiser with no airbag deployment and limited front-end damage. Dispatch said the vehicle was owned by a woman from Rumney, but it was registered in Brunswick, ME. The registration also expired in late February.

The department’s K-9 unit was also sent to the scene around 12:15 p.m.
Dispatch was asked to reach out to cab companies to see if any had picked up the driver, according to scanner chatter. Later, the companies reported not picking up a woman matching the description.
One officer reported a woman matching the description around Water Street and Storrs Street. The area was rechecked, but officers did not find the woman.
Dispatch was asked to call Rumney and Brunswick police to see if they could track down the owner or someone connected to her and check whether the SUV was stolen. Later, they learned Hooksett police encountered the woman at the Circle K and accused her of being erratic with other customers and making accusations. Police reviewed store video footage and found the woman’s accusations to be false. They also helped her push an out-of-gas vehicle to the pump. She left the area after getting gas, dispatch said.
Just past 12:30 p.m., police found the dog, a pit bull, in the woods. About 50 yards into the woods, they found the woman’s shoes. Officers attempted to call out to her, but she did not answer, they said.
Around 12:45 p.m., officers found the woman unresponsive in the woods, down a small embankment, and Concord fire and rescue teams were requested. Officers redirected the dog while EMTs evaluated her. Later, they cleared the scene.
The woman reportedly gave police a different name than the SUV’s registered owner, according to scanner chatter. When dispatch requested a birth date, the officer said he did not think she would give him one.
Around 1:15 p.m., officers led the woman out of the woods. She was arrested later on a resisting charge.
A tow truck was then called for the vehicle.
