Woman Arrested For DWI On The Londonderry Turnpike
Police: Kayla Norman allegedly crossed over the yellow lines and was arrested after a field sobriety test.

HOOKSETT, NH — A local woman was arrested this morning after being accused of drunk driving, according to police. Kayla Norman, 21, of Hooksett, was arrested on Nov. 1, 2017, on a single count of driving while intoxicated. At just before 3 a.m. this morning, an officer driving north on the Londonderry Turnpike allegedly observed a vehicle cross over the double yellow lines, according to a press statement from Sgt. Mike Auger of the Hooksett Police Department.

The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with Norman.

“While speaking with Norman, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected and she also admitted to drinking,” Auger alleged. “Norman was asked if she was willing to take field sobriety tests which she agreed to (do) and she was subsequently arrested.”
At police headquarters, Norman allegedly refused a breath test. She was booked and released on personal recognizance bail. Norman is due in court on Nov. 17.
