Woman Taken To Concord Hospital On A Trauma Alert After A Rollover Crash On South Main Street

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a rollover crash on South Main Street on Thursday night.

Just after 9 p.m., police were sent to the area of South Main Street near West Street for a report of a rollover crash with a person trapped inside the vehicle. A second caller also reported the crash, and dispatch said the caller sounded as if they were arguing with someone in the background, according to scanner chatter. The crash was just off the street’s intersection with West Street.

The first-arriving officer requested additional officers to shut down the southern part of the street.

Another officer said the driver was a woman and appeared to be breathing, and they requested fire and rescue teams to the scene.

“She is somewhat conscious, at this point,” the officer said.

The officer also stated the evidence technician van would be needed, and an officer would need to go to the hospital to interview the crash victim. An officer said only the vehicle’s passenger was injured.

News 603 posted a video from the scene on Facebook.

The crash involved a parked Volvo that sustained damage and a Mini Cooper with a vanity plate that flipped. The Cooper had airbag deployment, according to officers.

Firefighters used struts to balance the vehicle while they removed two people from inside the Mini. They requested a trauma alert at Concord Hospital for a 26-year-old woman who was not conscious, according to scanner chatter. She was removed from the vehicle and taken to the hospital.

A woman from Oregon and a man were interviewed by police as witnesses.

Just before 10 p.m., the driver of the Mini Cooper was given a field sobriety test. Officers also roped off the area.
