Wrong-Way Driving Teen Accused Of Crashing SUV In Concord: Watch
An underage driver was accused of fleeing a crash on Manchester Street Wednesday — leaving others who were injured to fend for themselves.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a wrong-way driver who crashed an SUV on Manchester Street on Wednesday.
Police dispatch began receiving reports about a wrong-way driver in a white vehicle, possibly a Jeep, on Interstate 89 around 2:45 a.m. Bow police attempted to stop the vehicle on I-89 and Hall Street but were unsuccessful. Shortly after, another report was made about the vehicle almost driving into a cruiser.
A few minutes later, a crash was reported on Manchester Street, with dispatch relaying that a witness said the SUV was traveling the wrong way on that road, too.

Officers were sent to the crash and discovered a girl inside the Toyota Highlander with a head injury, and Concord fire and rescue teams were requested. Another teen was also injured. They were taken later to Concord Hospital.
Police also learned the driver of the vehicle, an underage teen, possibly from Claremont, had fled the area, heading toward downtown by way of Terrill Park.

The Highlander, an officer noted, had a Minnesota 10,000 Lakes registration. Dispatch confirmed the SUV was based out of Oronoco, MN. Two of the juveniles were 15 years old, while one was 17.
Police shut down the intersection at Manchester and Old Turnpike Road while other officers were stationed on Hall Street and other locations, hoping to find the driver. After seeing no one on Hall Street, officers checked Basin and Gulf streets and under the Manchester Street bridge, with no luck. Later, police reported finding a glass bong in the vehicle, according to scanner chatter.
Officers found the driver around 3:30 a.m. in the area. He was also taken to Concord Hospital with injuries.
All three juveniles were arrested by police and items were seized during the incident, according to Deputy Chief John Thomas of the Concord Police Department. He could not speak about specifics connected to the case, however, due to the ages of the accused.
