Since its founding in 1996 after the tragic deaths of teens in car crashes, CATS has responded to the needs of the Greater Derry Community with a mission of promoting safe habits for young people by increasing their awareness of high-risk behaviors and encouraging them to make safe and healthy choices. It is through events such as these that we can offer hands-on driving safety tips and provide important resources from our local and state safety partners on how to stay safe on the road as well as personal stories from families whose lives have been forever changed by a driving-related tragedy. All towards helping to encourage everyone to be a safer driver and thus reduce injuries and fatalities on our roadways. Sue Centner, Executive Director, said “putting on the Expo is an investment in the safety and well-being of our teens and in making our communities a safer place in which to work and live. “

The Expo is sponsored in part or in kind by Granite State Credit Union, Traffic Jamz- Hooksett NH, and T-Bones.

Community Alliance for Teen Safety (CATS), a 501c (3) nonprofit organization located in Derry is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year.
