Happenings at Newmarket Public Library

Summer is right around the corner, and so is the Newmarket Public Library’s summer reading program, Dig Into Reading. Held in conjunction with Newmarket Elementary School, the program will allow readers from K through 6th grade to explore our underground theme, Dig Into Reading, with stories, music, crafts, and more. The program is every Tuesday morning at 10:30 from July 9th - July 30th.  Registration begins May 1st.   Stop by the library to register and pick up a flyer, or call 659-5311. Award winning British storyteller Simon Brooks will perform at the library on Thursday, July 11th @ 6:30pm.

Looking for something to do with the kids to avoid “Mom, I’m bored!”  - check out the newest museum pass, SEE Science Center in Manchester. It’s an interactive science museum with two floors of fun for kids of all ages, including a simulation of walking on the moon and a huge Lego reproduction of the mills in Manchester. http://www.see-sciencecenter.org/ And there is also a pass available to the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire (Dover). Just call in advance to reserve.

Looking to expand your collections? Check out the next book sale, to be held June 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.
