Exeter Man Arrested for Bank Robberies

Manchester Police arrested Eric D'Aoust last night; allege he was involved in three holdups this week.

Police in the Queen City believe they have the man responsible for a string of bank robberies during the last five days.

Eric D’Aoust, 29, of Exeter, was arrested on Nov. 13, 2015, and charged with three counts of robbery.

According to a report, officers were called to the TD Bank on South Willow Street for a report of a robbery at around 6:15 p.m. last night. A bank employee alleged that a man entered the bank and demanded money. The employee complied with the request and the man left. No weapon was shown, according to police.

During the course of the investigation, according to Sgt. Timothy Patterson of the Manchester Police Department, investigators were able to determine that the man allegedly involved in the robbery was the same man that hit a TD Bank on Franklin Street the day before. That suspect was identified as D’Aoust.

At around 7 p.m., two sergeants from the special enforcement division were on South Willow Street when they saw a man that looked like D’Aoust walking in the area of the Sleepy’s mattress store. The stopped the man, found out that he was D’Aoust, and arrested him.

D’Aoust is also charged with the robbery of the Granite State Credit Union on Nov. 9, 2015. He is being held without bail and will be arraigned in Manchester District Court on Monday.
