Exeter Man Charged After Fatal Brentwood Crash In June
Seth Winkle has been arrested for negligent homicide, felony DWI after an investigation of a crash that took the life of Jasmine Marston.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire State Police have formally charged a local man on numerous charges after a multi-month investigation into a crash in Brentwood back in June that took the life of a Newmarket woman, according to a press statement. Seth Winkle, 21, of Exeter, was arrested on Oct. 14, 2017, on manslaughter, negligent homicide and aggravated driving while intoxicated charges, all felonies. The charges were issued against Winkle after what Sgt. Steven Wheeler of the NHSP called “a lengthy investigation” into a crash on June 17, 2017, on Middle Road in Brentwood reportedly involving an Audi A4 that took the like of Jasmine Marston, 22, of Newmarket, who was a passenger in the vehicle.

Due to the seriousness of the early morning crash, Brentwood Police requested the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Team to come to the crash area to assist with the investigation. Winkle, according to state troopers, was trapped in the vehicle while another passenger from Exeter was in the rear of the vehicle. Marston sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators determined that the Audi was traveling east on Middle Road when it reportedly lost control, struck a large tree, and rolled over. Speed was considered a factor at the time, according to state police.

Winkle is due in court on Dec. 6.
Marston was born in Colorado but was raised in Brentwood and was a graduate of the Class of 2013 in at Great Bay E Learning Charter School in Exeter, according to her obituary. She was described as a beloved friend to many who also had compassion for others. Marston’s family was able to raise nearly $12,000 in a GoFundMe.com effort to offset funeral expenses.
