Memorial for Fallen Brentwood Police Officer Complete

Stephen Arkell of Exeter died two years ago this month and is now being memorialized outside the Brentwood Police Department.

BRENTWOOD, NH - The Officer Stephen Arkell monument project is complete and was dedicated at the Brentwood Police Department on May 18, 2016, according to a post on Facebook.

The Exeter resident was fatally shot and killed on May 12, 2014, by Michael Nolan, while responding to a call on Mill Pond Road, a home that later caught on fire and exploded.

Last month, the Brentwood Police Benevolent Association began raising thousands of dollars for the project – a dedication plaque and flag pole – on a GoFundMe site. The association also kicked in 40 percent of the cost.
