State officials still expect a strong foliage season and modest growth in visitor spending, but local businesses like Wakeda Campground are feeling the pinch from politics, gas prices, and economic uncertainty. 
• Boie's first-half goal lifts Winnacunnet girls soccer past Exeter in rivalry clash (fosters.com) — Exeter High girls soccer dropped a tight 1-0 rivalry match at Winnacunnet, despite outshooting the Warriors and controlling long stretches of play. A late first-half goal and strong goalkeeping sealed the result, but both coaches say the Blue Hawks remain contenders as they push into the second half of their Division I season.
