Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival returns to Swasey Parkway: Tickets now on sale (seacoastonline.com) — Exeter's Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival is coming back to Swasey Parkway on Saturday, Oct. 3, with more than 200 beers, ciders, and seltzers plus plenty of chili. Organizers expect another sellout, so locals are urged to buy tickets early, with proceeds supporting youth programs, community events, and local business initiatives throughout the Exeter area.
   

2. Jady Hill residents urge board to reject 14‑home Exeter Country Club proposal (seacoastonline.com) — Exeter neighbors around Jady Hill Avenue are pressing the Planning Board to reject a 14‑home subdivision proposed on part of Exeter Country Club's driving range, citing drainage, traffic, water supply, and neighborhood character. The board has scheduled an Oct. 8 site walk and Oct. 22 hearing, giving residents key chances to weigh in on growth, affordability, and infrastructure concerns.
   

3. Folk Show Music and Dance Calendar 9.13.26 (nhpr.org) — Folk fans in Exeter have a packed calendar of live shows coming up at The Word Barn and The Orchard Chapel, featuring artists from bluegrass to indie folk through December. This regional roundup also highlights nearby New Hampshire dances, concerts, and festivals, giving you plenty of options for short drives if you're willing to travel a bit beyond town.
   

4. Portsmouth, Dover golf remain undefeated: Monday Seacoast roundup (seacoastonline.com) — Exeter athletes had a strong showing, with Blue Hawks golfers sweeping a four‑team match at Exeter Country Club and the volleyball team edging Alvirne in five sets. The roundup also tracks how nearby Seacoast schools like Portsmouth, Dover, Winnacunnet, and Newmarket are faring, giving Exeter sports fans a snapshot of where local rivals stand early in the season.
