Popovers Opening New Restaurant Nearby

Seacoast restaurant Popovers on the Square is adding a second location.

Popovers has operated a location in downtown Portsmouth since 2006. In July, owners John Tinios and Steve James expect to open another restaurant at Brickyard Square in Epping.

"We're excited," said Marketing Director Bridgette Desmond.

Popovers serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner at its Portsmouth location. There's also a bakery. Desmond said the new restaurant will have those same features—plus a bar.

"It will have the same feel," Desmond said.

The Epping location will be next to O'neil Cinemas, one of about a dozen businesses in Brickyard Square. There's also a Market Basket grocery store, Marshalls, Subway, and Orange Leaf frozen yogurt shop, among others.
