Leadership Seacoast, a non-profit organization that develops informed, engaged, and active leaders in our communities, is hosting its annual recruitment and scholarship breakfast on October 8, 2013 from 7:30 â 9 a.m. at Timberland, 200 Domain Drive, Stratham, NH.
For more than twenty years, Leadership Seacoast has been exposing its class members to the interconnected nature of key issues affecting the cultural, social, political and economic lives of Seacoast residents. Why? To strengthen ties within the community, increase civic engagement, and develop effective, knowledgeable, and engaged leaders. Recruitment for the 2014 class is underway. Interested applicants are invited to attend the informational breakfast to learn more about the wide-ranging benefits of the program.
âThe recruitment breakfast is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are interested in Leadership Seacoast to learn more about the organization and to meet some of the people involved with it,â said Executive Director Jennifer Wheeler.â Â âWe are particularly excited that Timberland is partnering with us this year to host the event, as it is a reflection of the companyâs commitment to economic development on the Seacoast.â
This yearâs breakfast, hosted by Timberland and underwritten by McLane, Graf, Raulerson and Middleton Law Firm in Portsmouth, also serves as a fundraiser for Leadership Seacoastâs scholarship fund. Each year, Leadership Seacoast provides financial assistance to applicants, based on need; all proceeds raised during the breakfast are dedicated to supporting scholarship requests.
Breakfast attendees are invited to stay and go âbehind-the-scenesâ at Timberland. Tickets for candidates are free; $10 for Leadership Seacoast alumni. Space is limited and guests are asked to RSVP by e-mailing Jennifer Wheeler atjwheeler@leadershipseacoast.org.
