• Small NH towns muster support for affordable housing (keenesentinel.com) — Fitzwilliam officials and volunteers are pushing hard to expand affordable housing options while trying to preserve the town’s rural character. A new Housing Opportunity Group is educating residents, backing zoning changes for two-family homes and accessory units, and helping pass housing-related warrant articles so local workers, families, and longtime residents can keep living in town. 
• A New Hampshire man was arrested after attempting to flee a traffic stop in Ashburnham and resisting arrest (newenglandnewspress.com) — A Fitzwilliam man faces charges after allegedly speeding toward the New Hampshire line, briefly trying to drive off from a traffic stop in Ashburnham, and resisting arrest when officers pinned in his car. Police say the 63-year-old, whose Massachusetts license was suspended, was ultimately handcuffed, found with a clip knife, and released on bail pending a November court hearing.
