5-Course Gourmet Dinner Coming to Downtown
A Hampton eatery will transform its dining room during a special chamber event next week.

The and Exeter chambers of commerce will partner next week to bring a night of refined dining to locals' palates at in downtown Hampton.
"The Big Night" dining event is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, and features a large menu of masterful dishes and sides crafted by Charlie Harrison, the restaurant's new chef.
The five-course, sit-down dinner is $50 per person for chamber members and $60 per person for non-chamber members. Passed hors d'oeuvres and two palate cleansers are also included in the dinner, the menu for which is as follows:

PASSED HORS D'OEUVRES
- North coast lobster gougeres
- Duck pastrami, pear, and rye canapé
- Lotus root chip with ginger guacamole
- Sticky chicken on a rice waffle
- Corn and melon "soup"
FIRST COURSE

- Melon, white chocolate-root beer gelato, cavalli
SECOND COURSE
- Shrimp carpaccio, saffron, young arrugula, vanial beads, pickled jalapeno
THIRD COURSE
- Lamb x's 2, goat cheese, mache, hay roasted corn
INTERMEZZO
- A palate cleansing experience
FOURTH COURSE
- Prairie, pen and ocean: Monkfish, bacon, skirt steak, popcorn gnocchi, popcorn shoots
AFTERMEZZO
- A palate cleansing experience again
FIFTH COURSE
- Chocolate panna cotta, curried cashew brittle, juniper
