50 State Tour To Benefit Homeless Animals Scheduled to Visit New Hampshire August 3rd

Stratham, NH – The New Hampshire SPCA is delighted to announce a unique partnership with an organization called BarkAid.  The brainchild of Master Hairstylist Patrick Lomantini BarkAid seeks to help animal shelters to raise money, while providing an exciting twist.  Patrick and his crew will visit 50 states in 50 days and in each one he will complete a minimum of 50 haircuts for a donation to the benefitting animal shelter.

This is Patrick’s fourth year of conducting the 50 States Tour, but the New Hampshire SPCA’s first year of participating.  “We are very excited to be on board with the BarkAid 50 States Tour this year,” said Sheila Ryan, Director of Development and Marketing at the New Hampshire SPCA.   “Patrick is a very dynamic person with big ideas, and is following his passion to help homeless animals.  We couldn’t ask for more in a partner.”

The event is open to the public, by appointment only, so we encourage those interested in having their locks cut by Mr. Lomantini, to call the Wingate at 603-772-8400, for an appointment as soon as possible.  We anticipate selling this event out.   Mr. Lomantini specializes in dry cuts and by all accounts does an amazing job.  Cuts are by donation, with a minimum donation of $20.00.  We anticipate with the Wingate Salon and Spa as the site of the event, Mr. Lomantini as the stylist and the animals as the beneficiary, most people who are able will make a donation greater than the minimum.  They will also receive a lovely gift bag from the Wingate for participating which will include a coupon for services.  They will also be conducting a product sale with 10% of the proceeds being donated to the NHSPCA.

“This is shaping up to be an exciting and important event,” said Tom McDermott, Owner of the Wingate Salon and Spa.  “We are honored to be working with the New Hampshire SPCA and Mr. Lomantini to benefit homeless animals.”
