Celebrate LOCAL art and artists!

New Hampshire has a wealth of art and artists.  There are many wonderful galleries and other ongoing displays in restaurants, cafes, banks, libraries and hospitals--and admission is FREE!  And who knows--you may find some great stuff for your walls or a nice gift for someone, and it is great to support LOCAL artists and galleries.
Each month Porstmouth opens their monthlong gallery exhibits with open houses at First Friday, and the next one is next Friday, APRIL 4th.  From 5-8 PM galleries open their doors and offer food and beverages while you peruse the art and meet the artists.  It is a nice event for the whole family.  I am lucky enough to have some photos of Paris and Santa Fe at the NH Art Association East Gallery on 136 State Street in Porstmouth as part of "The Moment It Clicks: The Mentor-Mentee Relationship in Photography" along with West Newbury photography teacher Robert Chiller. (You can talk to him about taking classes!)  I have included some of my photos here.  Hope you can come by to see the these as well as the many amazing pieces of juried art at the annual Lassonde Juried Exhibit happening this month at the NH Art Association.
