Getting to Know: The Butcher Shop [NEW VIDEO SERIES]

Check out our new Friday video series about small businesses!

Welcome to the first installment of "Getting to Know," a new video column that'll come out each Friday and focus on getting inside the heads of popular, new or quirky small businesses and their owners and staff.

Each week, we'll give a local biz three minutes of fame, allowing owners or longtime employees to talk about why they do what they do. We hope it'll give you an inside look at your favorite shop or a sample of a place you may never have known existed.

The best part about the new video column is that we want this to be about you! The first couple of installments will feature businesses we've selected after speaking with local residents, but after that we want to go out each week and interview a business chosen by you!

In the comments of each week's "Getting to Know" video, post your best pitch for a business you feel is truly deserving of a little Patch video hype. We'll then select the best nomination from the group and highlight that business in the following week's video!

The first entry of the series takes a look at The Butcher Shop, a popular establishment run by Hampton resident Chad Luby that is equal parts butchery, sandwich shop, meat and seafood market, and fine dining.

The Butcher Shop, located at 97 Lafayette Road in Hampton Falls, was chosen because we've heard from a few of you that you really enjoy the food and because we thought Luby had plenty to offer after chatting with him this week.

Enjoy the video, and post your nomination for next week in the comments!
