CRIMELINE FOR THE HAMPTONS, INC.
ANNOUNCES NEWEST BOARD MEMBERS

Directors of non-profit focus on assisting local police

HAMPTON — Crimeline for the Hamptons, Inc., the non-profit group that supports
police departments in North Hampton, Hampton, Hampton Falls, and Seabrook,
welcomed four new members to its Board of Directors last month. David K. Hobbs,
Deputy Chief of Police of Hampton Police Department, Paul Lepere, owner of The
Hamptons Real Estate, Billy Rothney, Relationship Officer for The Provident Bank in
Seabrook, and Detective John Mounsey of Seabrook Police Department joined the team
of volunteers that supports local police departments, increases safety in the community
and awards scholarships to local students.

"I am excited about this opportunity with Crimeline,” said Deputy Chief Hobbs. “This
organization does an outstanding job partnering with our local communities to help
solve and prevent crimes and is a great resource for the area departments. I am
pleased to have the opportunity to give back to this organization.”

Hobbs helped the group run its successful free community shredding event to raise
awareness about identity theft in April. In addition to the annual event, Crimeline
organizes public discussions to inform the public about issues that include domestic
violence and identity theft.

“I’m excited to work with a group of individuals who have their minds on the pulse of
each of their respective communities, and will work hard together to help each
community grow a safe and fun environment for everyone,” said Billy Rothney of The
Provident Bank. “I think that giving back to our community that the organization serves
is a great thing, and I am happy to join a strong collective unit that has the best
interest for the Seacoast in mind.”

Crimeline recently voted to provide each of its police departments with a $3,000.00
donation to be used however the departments wish. In addition, the group voted to
request a wish list from each department in order to fulfill the group’s mission to
support the police departments by helping to purchase items the departments need but
may not be funded in their budgets.

“Every day the police put on their uniform they are potentially in danger,” said Paul
Lepere, who opened The Hamptons Real Estate in 1983. “They need every tool to assist them in their work. Crimeline for the Hamptons is there to assist them and the community. It is an honor to be a part of this organization.”

The group administers an anonymous tip text line and offers reward money for tips that
help police solve crimes. In April, Crimeline offered reward money for tips about the
burglary at Quicksilver Fine Jewelry and Gifts.

Detective John Mounsey served as Seabrook’s liaison to Crimeline for seven years
before becoming a Director. “The members are dedicated and believe in what they
accomplish,” Mounsey said. “They provide whatever time and resources are needed to
assist the residents of our communities.”

For the past six years, Crimeline has awarded $1000.00 scholarships to local students
interested in law enforcement or criminal justice careers, and to students who are
children of local police officers. The group presented five $1,000.00 scholarships to
graduating seniors and several returning college students last month.

"It is nice to be a part of an organization that gives so much back to the communities it
serves,” said Hobbs, who expressed his gratitude for Crimeline’s effort. “I look forward
to working together to keep our communities safe."
