Dead Body Found In Hampton River: New Hampshire Marine Patrol

State officials are attempting to identify a body found near the Hampton River Boat Club docks on Wednesday.

HAMPTON, NH — A body was found in the Hampton River on Wednesday, according to state officials.

Around noon, members of the Hampton River Boat Club were removing docks from the river when a body was found in the water. First responders were then called.

“Hampton Police, Hampton Fire, New Hampshire State Police and N.H. Marine Patrol responded to the Hampton River Boat Club located at 115 Landing Road in Hampton,” said Capt. Hennessey of the New Hampshire State Police. “Investigators are working with the office of the chief medical examiner in an effort to identify the victim.”

The gender, description, and age of the person found were not released. However, state police are asking anyone with information about this incident or a missing person to contact Sgt. Steve O’Connor, N.H. Marine Patrol, at 603-227-2114 or by email at Stephen.J.O’Connor@dos.nh.gov.
