Painted Rain Barrel Silen Auction and Garden Club Plant and Bake Sale

The Hampton Conservation Commission is holding their second annual hand-painted rain barrel auction.  The silent auction will held during during Hampton Garden’s Club’s Plant and Bake Sale.

Eight rain barrels have been painted by eighth-graders at Hampton Academy under the direction of Art Teacher, Dona Boardman.

The proceeds of this year’s auction will be used as matching funds to support a grant project that will help install and promote green infrastructure in Hampton. Rain barrels, rain gardens, and porous pavement are just a few examples of green infrastructure.

The Conservation Commission would like to thank our sponsors: Aquarion Water Co. for donating the rain barrels; Wicked Awesome Paint & Wallpaper for donating the primer and paint; and Wayne's Auto Body for applying a clear coat to each painted rain barrel.  We are grateful for all of their contributions.

The silent auction will close at 1 pm. Winners do not have to be present, and may be contacted by phone or email.
