SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALL FUNDRAISER

On MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2012 from 5pm – 8pm, Betty’s is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner With All The Trimmings Fundraiser for Karen Sullivan. A long time resident of the Seacoast, Karen is a youth-oriented public and motivational speaker focusing on the dangers of unprotected sex. Speaking at schools across the country, she was in Texas when she discovered the lump in her breast. Diagnosis: Cancer requiring immediate surgery and chemotherapy in Texas.

According to Kim Goddard, owner of Betty’s Kitchen, “Karen is the kind of person who never asks for anything but will always give what she can to anyone in need. She’s always upbeat and positive. You never hear “poor me” from her. She’s spent her whole life helping others. That’s why we’re stepping up for her with this fundraiser.”

Karen is unable to work now and has no health insurance – a scary situation even if you are not ill. This is where community support shines brightest. So, mark this date on your calendar – Monday, January 23^th from 5 – 8pm. Take the night off from cooking!  For a contribution of $12.00 per person, feast on a garden fresh salad, homemade spaghetti and meatballs with Kim’s special recipe sauce, garlic bread, Kim’s famous chocolate cake, cupcakes donated by a favorite customer, and a soft drink while helping to make Karen Sullivan’s life a little easier. This feast is also available for Take Out.

Don’t forget to take some chances on great raffle baskets that include a Spa collection featuring a one hour massage by Rejuvenations, an all-things Patriots basket, a “Scentsational” basket filled with fragrance, and gift certificates donated by local businesses - $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.  

Massage by the Minute will also be available!
