FL Man ID’d As Body Found In NH Harbor
Roland Gilles Chiasson was found last month in Hampton Harbor. NHSP have been unable to find his next of kin. A manner of death is pending.

HAMPTON, NH — The New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol Unit has released the name of a man found in Hampton Harbor back in late July, according to a press statement. Roland Gilles Chiasson, 65, with a last known address of North Ocean Drive in Hollywood, FL, was found floating in the harbor near the Underwood Memorial Bridge at around 4:30 p.m. on July 29, 2017. The state police’s major crime unit was unable to immediately identify the body initially.
On July 31, an autopsy was performed to identify the man and secure his manner of death, according to Lt. Scott Gilbert, Commander Major Crime Unit. The unit positively identified the man as Chiasson.

“The name was not immediately released due to an attempt to locate the next of kin for Chiasson,” Gilbert noted. “We have been unable to locate the next of kin for Chiasson and the manner of death is currently pending investigation.”

According to online reports, Chiasson owned at least two construction companies, one in Davie, FL, and was a certified general contractor between 1985 and August 2016, when his license expired. He also lived in Hallandale Beach, FL. In February 2015, he was arrested by the Broward County Sheriff’s Department for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer, according to police.
