Good Samaritan Surfers Rescue Paddleboarder
Hampton Fire responded with an engine and a marine unit, but the Emergency Medical Services officer says surfers already did the rescue.
Nathan Denio, Hampton's emergency services officer, said two Good Samaritan surfers helped a paddleboarder in distress on Monday.
"I wasn't on the call," Denio said, so he does not know exactly how the paddleboarder got into trouble.
"There was quite a strong offshore wind yesterday," Denio said. "That may have contributed."
