Hampton Beach is Now 'Barefoot Friendly'

Volunteers for the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project cleans up "the wall."

The Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project, now in its ninth year, is a partnership between the Surfrider Foundation and Barefoot Wine that works to keep beaches across America “barefoot friendly” by hosting beach cleanups.

On Saturday, Aug. 1, according to a press statement, the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project came to Hampton for a cleanup of the iconic “Wall.” Hampton was one of 12 locations targeted in the U.S. in 2015 for a beach rescue.

“It was a great mix of folks who attend this event every year and new faces,” said Melissa Gates, Northeast Regional Manager of the Surfrider Foundation.
