Hampton Rotary Club Donates $6,600 to Six Local Organizations

(Hampton, New Hampshire)  The Rotary Club of Hampton recently presented donations totaling $6,600 to six different local community organizations.  The organizations receiving the donations were the Annie’s Angel Memorial Fund, Blue Ocean Society, Boy Scout Troop 177, Girl Scout Brownie Troop 13968, God’s Baby Closet and the Hampton Community Coalition.

Penny Jett, Hampton Rotary Club President, said, “We are pleased to be able to financially support these non-profit organizations in their time of need and are grateful for the good work they do throughout our community.”  She went on to say, “The Hampton Rotary Club’s mission is “Service Above Self” and we raise money throughout the year to help those organizations which work to make our community a better place for everyone.” 

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.  Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 34,000 clubs in 200 countries.

The Rotary Club of Hampton holds its breakfast meetings each Tuesday morning at 7:30 AM at the Old Salt Restaurant, 490 Lafayette Road in Hampton, NH.  The club serves the communities of Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton and Seabrook and is always looking for new members that want to give back to the local community and have fun doing it. Please contact President Penny Jett @ 944-5861 if you are interested in becoming a member.
