Hassan, Lamontagne Speaking at Hampton Forum

The Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce and WMUR are joining forces for a candidate forum next month.

New Hampshire gubernatorial candidates (D-Exeter) and (R-Manchester), both of whom just , will appear in Hampton next month during a special candidate forum in the

The , sponsored by WMUR and the , is free and open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents are invited to bring or submit questions for either candidate, and residents are also asked to register for the event by e-mailing Katie@HamptonChamber.com.

Local political figures have told Hampton-North Hampton Patch that the forum will be recorded by WMUR and broadcast later that night.

The forum is one of two October political events sponsored by the chamber. There is also a state representative and state senator forum scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the . Registration is also required for that event, and can be done by e-mailing Katie@HamptonChamber.com.

In addition to the chamber events, local political groups also have as a way to raise awareness about the candidates and issues before the Nov. 6 general election.
