How To Change Your Critical Voice to a Loving Voice

When you begin to speak to yourself with positive, affirming and praise worthy words, you will see success and love flourish in your life.

Working with a beautiful and bright young women, and celebrating how much she has shifted and grown in the past year, my heart was clutching at her inability to see her beauty, strengths, and acknowledge how amazing she is. The changes she has made to honor her soul were huge milestones and I was so thrilled to remind her of it.

As she continues to create her life to include love and happiness, she identified that it was time for her to silence her self critical voice and amp up her voice of self love and allow herself to receive love from others.

I realized that you may be needing a little reminder of this, too. It is so easy to speak harshly, criticize, and devalue ourselves. So I encourage you to pay attention to that silent voice that runs in your mind - are the words and messages loving, supportive, inspiring and affirming? If not, please change the script. Speak to yourself the way you would to a small child, for deep inside there still resides your own inner child who needs your love and acceptance.

Here are some suggestions to shift to a more loving and positive inner dialogue:

  1. Breathe, breathe, breathe and surround yourself with divine light and love
  2. Set Your Day for Success meditations - begin and end your day with them.
  3. Tap to at least 1 tapping session daily from the free Tappy Break video or podcast library.
  4. Make notes of your critical voice in a notebook, and reframe them to positive statements
  5. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me,” ask, “What’s RIGHT with me or this situation?”
  6. Create a positive and affirming mantra that you repeat over and over out loud every day.
  7. Look in the mirror every morning, open your arms wide and say out loud, “Hello beautiful, I love you! You are amazing!”

You are here to love and be loved and that begins from within your own heart. Set the intention NOW that you choose to love and accept yourself just the way you are, not when you reach that desired imaginary place in your head. If you are always waiting until to feel love, happiness, acceptance, you will never reach it. Love who you are now and then the guides, steps, inspiration, energy will lead you there.
