Lineup Set for Annual Toast to the Coast

Celebrating the great flavors of the Seacoast, the annual Toast to the Coast is set for Thursday, May 2nd at the Ashworth by the Sea from 6:30-9 p.m. Presented by the Exeter Area and Hampton Area chambers of commerce; the event is underwritten by People’s United Bank.

Sample a wide selection of fine wines, beer, craft brews, ales and specialty cocktail coolers, plus hors d’oeuvres and sweet treats from some of the Seacoast’s finest restaurants, caterers, and specialty shops like: Bonta, Ron Jillian’s, The Purple Urchin, Stop & Shop Exeter, The 401 Tavern, Boardwalk Café, Cornucopia Wine & Cheese Market,  Karimah’s Kitchen, The Ashworth by the Sea, The Old Salt,  Edible Arrangements, The Flatbread Company, Avellino’s Italian Kitchen & Deli, The Community Oven, Bernie’s (formerly La Bec Rouge) and many more will be offering delicious cuisine: assorted cheeses, ahi tuna, chicken, steak, or turkey kabobs, carved pork with chutney’s, seafood cocktail, roast beef tenderloin, blackened fish taco, feta stuffed shrimp with prosciutto, citrus scallops, chocolate dipped berries, milk chocolate budino, and so much more!

Fine wines, champagnes, and beers will be presented by Bayside and New Hampshire Distributing, Candia Vineyards, Flag Hill Winery & Distillery, Horizon Beverage, Jewell Towne Vineyards, Pine State Beverage Co., and Zorvino Vineyards, Sweet Baby Vineyards, and several more.

In addition to the mingling, sampling, and noshing, the evening features an opportunity to find the evening’s “Top Chef” as judges pick the best hors d’oeuvres of the evening. “THE PURPLE URCHIN” of Hampton won the 2012 award with crowd pleasing crab cakes with champagne remoulde over black bean salad.
