LL Bean Releases Grand Opening Details
New details about the Bootmobile appearance and several giveaways have been announced for the Sept. 22 opening.

L.L. Bean, which earlier this summer announced it , has released new details about its planned for the new location at 35 Lafayette Road:
L.L.Bean continues its year-long 100th Anniversary celebration with the Grand Opening of a new, 10,000-square foot outlet store at Lafayette Crossing on September 22nd. The celebration will run from 9am-4pm and will include an appearance by the “Bootmobile”, a larger-than-life replica of the iconic L.L.Bean Bean Boot; free samples of Muddy Bean Boots ice cream, a flavor created by Maine’s Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream in honor of the 100th anniversary; a drawing for a kayak package valued up to $500; and a slew of family fun activities including fly casting, games, and face painting.

“Coastal New Hampshire is an excellent location for an L.L.Bean Outlet store,” said Greg Elder, L.L.Bean Vice President of Stores. “The store is located on Route 1 and will be an easy stop, not only for visitors passing through on their way to Maine, but also for local residents looking for deals on L.L.Bean outdoor gear and apparel. "
