According to a report, around 1 a.m., a trooper from Troop A attempted to stop a 2006 Honda Accord on Route 1 in Hampton for speeding and unsafe passing.

The vehicle, however, allegedly ignored the emergency signals to pull over and continued east on Route 101 toward Hampton Beach. After speeds reached 100 mph, the trooper discontinued to the pursuit and issued a BOLO (be-on-the-lookout) call for the vehicle. Not long after, Hampton Police located the vehicle parked in a private parking area on Ashworth Avenue.

“During the investigation it was determined that the vehicle located was the same vehicle that had been chased,” according to Sgt. Steven Cooper of the NHSP.

It was later learned that Nason allegedly took the vehicle without the owner’s consent. The vehicle also contained “important medical equipment that would be needed in the event of an emergency for one of the children of a female party that he was currently residing with,” according to Cooper.

Several witnesses came forward and submitted written statements and Nason was arrested and held on $7,500 cash bail. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Seabrook District Court earlier today.

According to online reports, Nason has been arrested in the past. In Chicopee, MA, in 2012, he was arrested at Walmart on drug possession and larceny over $250 charges.
