New England Patriots and the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

How many times is this? Talking about the Patriots heading to the AFC championship game? Three years in a row for starters. Though it was 10 years ago when the Patriots won their last Super Bowl. But in my honest opinion, we should have 5 Super Bowl titles. FIVE. I'm not complaining (yes I am) just pointing that out. Not that any of you die hard fans need any reminders.

So this game had all the makings of another nail biter. And for all intents and purposes it did. For most of three quarters of the game. This game was never "in the bag" as they say, until early in the 4th quarter. And I never really felt comfortable until the 2 minute warning when we were up by three TD's.

[Photo 1] Thanks to this man. Number 29, LeGarrette Blount.

BLOUNT. 264 lbs of running beef. A machine.
A Tank. A one man wrecking ball. Whatever you want to call him. He is a beast. But a beast with speed. He rushed for something crazy like 169 yards, and he scored 4 TD's on the ground. Setting a NEW Patriots record for rushing TD's during a play-off game. He is like my friend Tony said, " the M1A2 Abrams Tank!"

And he was. Unstoppable. But then again, so was his running mate.

Stevan Ridley ran 2 TD's in for a total of six TD's on the ground.
And I was personally happy for Ridley who was the subject of so many "know it all's who said he should be traded, or benched for the season due to his fumbleitis. But Coach Belichick and company knew better and worked with him. The result is in the pudding, or rather in the score. 43-22.

And Tom Brady did not throw a single TD. Huh? Oh yea. It's true. Our boy, our wonder boy, did not throw a single TD pass this night. He clearly orchestrated the winning drives, but he did not throw a single TD pass. He did not have to. His GRUNTS did all the work.

The New England Patriots was the GOOD this week.

Like a lot of you out there, I pay attention to what is going on in the world. Or at least I make an attempt to find out what is happening. I read the papers, both here on the Internet and the old Newspaper version. I watch TV and for the most part, I like to keep abreast on what is happening out there.

Current events and weather are tops on my list.

So it should be no surprise that the "BAD" this week clearly goes to Dennis Rodman. Hello? This absurd bonehead of a human being has stepped off the deep end folks. His Basket Ball Diplomacy is a joke. And his crush on the lunatic North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un is laughable. Come on Dennis! Really? Thank God he apologized to the world for his absurd behavior during a CNN interview.

Drunk or not. There's no excuse for his behavior. Dennis you are a buffoon. Al beit a famous buffoon with money, but make no mistake, 90% of the US population look at you for what you are. A clown.

A very tall clown, who could play basketball in his day. But that's it.

You have NO redeeming qualities, no humanitarian goals and quests that are noteworthy. You are an embarrassment to your country, and to your fellow NBA teammates. You should be deported, and forced to live with your little friend Kim. Once the "buzz" wears off, and you realize just what that tiny tyrant has been doing all these years, you may come to your senses, and speak up for the good of the North Koreans, instead of sucking up to that little weasel Kim Jon Un.

But something tells me you won't. You are what you are. An idiot.

"Basketball Heals All Wounds...?" Maybe here in the US.
But not in North Korea.

The UGLY story of the week has to go to Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey. I'm going against my better judgment here, by spewing off about politics. But I don't care. If I see something that looks fishy, I am going to comment. And this whole closing down lanes on the George Washington bridge is just wrong. Sorry Donut man. It was wrong. And like every other leader in the FREE world, you are to be held accountable, because it was under your watch.

Yet, something tells me you will skate.

Not surprisingly, most of the other politicians who "skated " when things went down on their watch, (Obama and Hillary for their role in Benghazi) you too, will more than likely, get away with this. It's politics as usual. And it makes no difference which side of the aisle you sit on. Everyone skates for free.

No wonder so many people want to get into Politics.

This will be now be known as "BRIDGEGATE". Better pull out those photos of you and President Obama posing together after Hurricane Sandy. You are going to need his help again. Only this time, the President will be turning a blind eye to your plight to help his girl Hillary. Soo sorry Governor. But this is politics. And Hillary is running against you for the big seat.

Now for Some Of My Weekly Global Observances
The news coming out of Fallujah in IRAQ this week was so disturbing. Apparently Al Qeada has taken complete control of the city. This same city that was the scene of some of the most intense fighting in that war and resulted in the biggest loss of US Lives during the 2003 and 2004 battles has fallen to Al Qeada. The same scumbags that have been causing trouble since 9-11. The "Allah Arkbar" gang. This is terrible news.

The good news is, the US will not put boots on the ground there. We will however, provide a few drones. So a message to the Al Qeada parading around the streets...Sleep with eye open. Those drones know exactly where you are.
