NH Standoff: Haverhill Fugitive Arrested
Breaking: Michael Ellis of Haverhill, MA, was arrested by Hampton Police on numerous charges after being taken into custody.

HAMPTON, NH — A Massachusetts man was arrested on fugitive from justice and resisting arrest charges after a multi-hour standoff with cops on Fairfield Drive in Hampton today, according to police. Michael Ellis, 22, of Haverhill, MA, was wanted on warrants out of the Bay State for two counts of armed robbery and two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Ellis surrendered to police on June 8, 2017, at around 8 p.m., after about a six-hour standoff with a SWAT team.

According to Deputy Chief David Hobbs of the Hampton Police Department, Ellis is being held and will be arraigned tomorrow morning.

Ellis, according to NECN.com, was arrested nearly two years ago after allegedly being involved in a number of armed robberies in Boston, Brookline, and Cambridge.
