Police Cruiser, Pickup Truck Collide on Route 286
NHSP: No injuries were reported or charges issued after a crash near South Main Street in Seabrook this morning.

SEABROOK, NH — New Hampshire State Police investigated an accident at Route 286 and South Main Street in Seabrook this morning between a police cruiser and a state public works pickup truck, according to police. At just before 8 a.m. on Nov. 3, 2016, troopers were called to the scene by Seabrook Police to investigate the crash.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a man from Lebanon, driving a NH Department of Public Works 204 Ford Ranger pickup truck, was traveling west on Route 286 when he attempted a left turn onto South Main Street. A second vehicle – a fully marked Seabrook Police Ford Expedition SUV – was traveling east and was unable to avoid the pickup truck and the vehicles collided, according to Staff Sgt. Charles Winters of the NHSP.
“The collision caused both vehicles to travel off the roadway, onto the right side embankment,” according to Winters, who added that the Seabrook officers was taken to the hospital for treatment and later released with minor injuries.

No charges have been filed in the case. Assisting the New Hampshire State Police at the scene was members of the Seabrook Police and Fire Departments as well as the Seabrook Public Works Department.
