Massachusetts man drowned at Seabrook Beach Sunday afternoon, according to New Hampshire State. The man and five others became caught in choppy waters at about 12:30 p.m., police said. One of the five suffered life-threatening injures; the others were expected to survive.

The deceased was identified as a 49-year-old man from Methuen, Massachusetts. A 47-year-old woman also from Methuen suffered life-threatening injuries. Their names were not released as of late Sunday night.

Police said a Good Samaritan helped bring the group to shore.
