One Killed, One Injured During Seabrook Shooting: Update
One man was killed during a shooting on Boynton Lane on Monday; a third man connected to the incident was found a few blocks away.
SEABROOK, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office and New Hampshire State Police are eyeing what officials are calling a "suspicious death investigation" in Seabrook.
Around 9:15 a.m. on Monday, Seabrook police began receiving 911 calls about a fight at a home on the street near Lafayette Road. Residents reported hearing a fight and then, multiple shots fired. According to scanner chatter, at least two shots were fired.
Police requested are units to assist with the call. A number of Seabrook police departments responded as did police from Salisbury, Massachusetts. Early reports stated at least one person was shot, according to dispatch, and they were taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

According to police dispatch, a third person, described as a tall, light-skinned Black man with short hair in a light-colored gray sweatshirt, was also being sought by police.

A perimeter was set up around the Market Basket on Lafayette Road while a Seabrook K-9 unit began searching for the third man.

Around 9:30 a.m., police widened the parameter to cover Route 107, in case the man was able to slip through the first perimeter.
About 15 minutes later, state police aircraft was also requested to assist in the search. Seabrook police also cleared the building where the shooting occurred. The department was also sending in its investigative unit.
At around 10:30 a.m., the third man was found and taken into custody near Railroad Avenue and Dwight Avenue, about three blocks away from the shooting, behind the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet, according to Seabrook Deputy Chief Kevin Gelineau. He said there was no danger to the public at large at this time. Gelineau asked residents to stay away from the area while the state and police conducted their investigation.

Gelineau said a SWAT team was sent into the home as a precaution to ensure it was safe for investigators. He said all future comments about the shooting would come from the attorney general's office.
